Why are we redesigning?

Since 2021, Seekho's videoplayer had not been updated and it supported an older structure of content. As we moved towards a new structure where each content was a stand-alone informative piece, the player needed to be redesigned for a better learning experience.

  1. Moving towards a new content format

But what are the issues with current player?

No way to browse other content

Users can't explore any other content while watching a video.

Accessing other parts of same video is also extremely difficult.

Complex feedback system

Users have to skip through 3 screens if they did not want to give any feedback

Intense decision making

After every series ends, user needs to decide what to watch, again.

Solutioning to achieve:

  1. Continued uninterrupted watching experience

  2. Improved recommendation system

  3. Tier I India readiness

Final Designs

AUTO-PLAY

Positive Impact

Here are the high-level business metrics that we moved positively

All screens

Different resolution (30%, 70%, 100%) for player to cater to all use cases and provide an immersive experience

Auto-player and Bottom player ensuring a continued watching experience while allowing for browse behaviour
